“Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard!”
Over the years I learned many things from my “Mom” & one thing in particular that comes to mind is her discipline. Every morning, even in her last days, she wanted the bed made before she did anything. This 5 minute (max) task was accompanied by her sunny disposition & response to my question of, “how are you today?” which was, “happy to be alive!”
Although Mom was not an entrepreneur by any means, she was a survivor. So I try to apply her mentality to all things, like making my meals the day before. Usually this is done at that moment when I want to lie down & go to sleep, but I push through, knowing the extra effort will make my day that much easier.
Pictured is today’s lunch & breakfast: coconut, cranberry, papaya, blueberry & raspberry smoothie & fresh salad w/ quinoa & a homemade garlic & turmeric powder & fresh cracked organic peppercorns (from the Spice Sampler Gourmet Bags).
So off to work for me, & yes… I did make the bed 😉
